What an industrious empire!

Woaaaaaaah I haven't posted a blog in quite some time!
So what's happened lately? Hmm...... not much really. I've just been obsessed with the horrors and listened to the entirety of Primary Colours about 56 times in the space of a month. You just don't know how amazing it is. YOU DON'T. OKAY.
And I have developed an obsession with pocket watches it would appear, as I went on dA and looked up pocket watches and just died. My god. THEY ARE SO PRETTYYYYYYYYYYY. I want all of them.
We have a pocket watch chez moi, however it doesn't have a key to wind it up with. So. It doesn't work. I find this highly aggravating. I mean really, who has a pocket watch that doesn't have a key? Fsadfadg!

The other day I was bored in English and we were reading one of the speeches with that line about sound and fury (in Macbeth, I neglected to mention) so I was all "oh hey I'm going to look up that book, The Sound And The Fury!" so I did that. And it sounded interesting. And yes it said it was highly difficult to read so I was all "okay, whatever, I can totally still read this" so I got it out of the library and... hahah. Good lord. Yeah that is some intense writing. I'll uh, keep trying though.

Now it is my very cunning plan to be top on language perfect for Spanish. This is going to be very difficult though as I am currently on 4 points and other people are on about 200. And I don't really know many of the words at the moment. Que malo!
I'm going to need some serious motivation for this!
I like the sound of rain at night, it's one of the most delightful things in the world. And yes there is a difference between rain at night and rain at day. I'm...not exactly sure what, but there's something different. It has to be heavy rain though, not some wussy light shower. XD Like now, it is nice and windy outside and the rain is all sporadic. Although I do prefer heavy rainstorms to not be sporadic, but what can you do?

Well by extension of this interest in pocket watches I have been looking at steampunky things. I mean the word itself is just so cool. Steampunk! I don't even know. It's quite a strange...thing, really, but I like looking at the creativity of other people transforming modern technology in to an anachronism that looks like it belongs. XD Does that make sense?
I need to find some more music. 1 or 2 songs in particular, and I just came across a whole bunch of random stuff written on a word document, copy-pasted from what someone on Da Myoose boards had been rambling about. That I want to listen to.

Tomorrow there shall be a ~*~band practice~*~ for the ~*~very excellent band~*~ in which I play some guitar. But saying that makes it sound like we are ~*~very srs bsns~*~ but it is simply myself and Marijke and Rekha attempting to play some music and sometimes succeeding! But I am too self-deprecating. We are getting a fair bit better really. And Rekha has already attained musical excellence so it's not like we are three people who can't play instruments. No sir! We just get over enthusiastic and suggest a whole bunch of songs to learn and then learn them and then run off to find something else to play. Which is quite fun really. And we do not have a band name! [UNDEFINED] was suggested and lingers on the peripherals of our mind as a potential one, but at the moment we are just "a band" or a "musical trio" if you like.
...I totally think Asimov's Erotica would have been an awesome name. DOES NO ONE AGREE WITH ME?
I want to get better at drawing, I have been stuck in a rut of drawing the same thing over and over and over and over again and not changing my style at all. Which I should do because quite frankly it sucks. I must draw moar! So that I can get much much better! I must practice and practice and I always forget the different between practice and practise. Which do you use when? I can never remember. Though spellcheck denies the existence of practise so... I don't know.
Well. I do go off on tangents rather quickly, don't I.

I changed the layout again because this one is nice and pretty.

Today was the first day of school! Though it hardly counts because we were there for about an hour. And it was good to see everyone again, and I was able to be all squee-ful for a brief few glorious seconds before we had to sit down and shut up.
I hope to continue said squeeing, flailing and general conspiracy theorising tomorrow at length! And since tomorrow is also a messy day, hopefully also on Friday too.
I must post a photo of the record player. It's amazing. SO AWESOME.
And it's a hot and sunny day but I'm inside where it is nice and cool apart from this laptop which is all "I'm two years old, watch me EXPLODE with suckiness!"
I want to love you, laptop, I really do, but you make it really difficult sometimes.
Also, I have a new Spanish teacher for the first time EVER which is kind of sad but to be expected, really. It would have been kind of odd if I had had the same Spanish teacher four years running. So I'm not really sure what to expect. Oh well, I believe Lucy is in my class so that should be good.
I don't know much about any of my other classes, but: I was meant to take music, right? And they were like "lol no, it clashes with French, gtfo" so I had to drop it and choose from one of some other very fascinating subjects (/sarcasm). So we sent a message saying "okay I'll take alternative maths then, FINE JEEZ" and well they do not appear to have regarded this message as I have a gap on my timetable every day.
Now I wouldn't complain if I were meant to have spaces, but I am supposed to be taking six subjects and that just really doesn't work. Much as I don't want to take maths because hello, most boring subject ever, I am afraid I shall have to ask "hello, what is the deal?"
Still. It's interesting. Anyway all my classes are cool because I'm not taking anything I don't like thus far, so every day should hopefully be quite alright! IT'S GOING TO BE INTERESTING, HOORAY.
I just want to go back already and talk with my friends for ages and ages about certain things.

seriously though, it is.
I managed to wake up kind of early today. 9.40 ish. Not early, but early for me. Buhhhh I've only been able to get to sleep at around 2 in the morning and it sucks. So I decided to get up earlier, so that I would be more tired, so that I would get to sleep faster.
Uh that's all I have to say right now.

Had an exciting wondrous sleepover of idiocy yesterday at the house of Jordan's which is amazing gorgeous with a view over the beach, Rangitoto and Browns Island, this loft room, it's just amazing. =D

The other day I suggested we make a band, everyone joined and I was promptly not a leading force in the creation of the band so I left. XDD BRB DOIN' SOLO CAREER

and when it was finally lunch I got like... a wafer, a chocolate fish, some piece of chocolate and two biscuits? the table was seriously decimated though. I wanted a sausage roll. Why were there no dinky sandwiches? I could have gone for some of them. So because I didn't really have anything to eat I ate the packet of starburst fruit lollies because I had anticipated not really getting anything to eat. Yay whoo me. I could always have brought a sandwich instead but you know whatever.

Random stuff: Today I heard Muse on the radio for the second time? But. The first time, I heard it for a second, it was you know a sort of intro for a person so it was like a few seconds before fading out. It was Starlight. And today it was for that 28th March lights out thing and it was in the background and it was Starlight. Hahaha lol singles

Yeah another dream post stfu.
So I was out in my backyard with lots of random people and it was... well, I do believe the correct word is twilight. Shudder. Something like that. Anyway it was fairly light but definitely dim. Anyway, I looked to the right and saw a planet. So you know those pictures, where there are really close up images of planets? Here's a picture.


pretty! So it was like that. But you could sort of see it a lot clearer. Anyway, I believe that planet was the blue one with the spot on it. Is that Neptune? I'm not sure. So that was there. But then someone was like look! And I looked over my house and there was a MASSIVE planet. You could see the whole thing, anyway it was huge. I don't think it was any particular planet though. Then we looked back over by Neptune and in the distance you could see all the other planets. I think saturn had a whole bunch of little mini discs floating around it. No not like the actual rings but little circles... I don't know. And Pluto seemed to be a bright blue star. Then I looked over way to the left and there were all these stars, and they were sort of super pretty. And purplish. And I think I wanted to say this to my ma but maybe I did and maybe I didn't, I don't remember but it reminded me of a Muse poster I was thinking. This one.


Hahahaha.

Then the small planets started looking like cells with chromosomes and dna in them and I got a bit freaked out. Then it switched to some sort of freaky Kahunui thing that I didn't like (except it looked nothing like it and looked like a jungle and I think I have had a similar dream before.)

Okay well that's all I shouldn't talk about dreams but that one was particularly cool.

This week has been agonisingly slow. Usually I'm all "hey let's not want every week to be over really fast or else the year will be over really fast" but this week? dragged onnnnnnn and onnnnnnnn and I just wanted it to end. Also it's weird how people can think things go at different speeds. Wow I can't type today, I typed about five words in a row completely munted. hahahah.
But yeah, I have a cold (whoop-dee-doo) which is probably most likely to blame. For the slowness that is. I mean it was FREEZING. The weather is actually completely messed up right now, one second it's burning hot and sunny, then stormy and overcast and cold, then pouring with rain! then sunny and hot! then overcast and SUPER WINDY
I think there's seriously something wrong with this place. Hahahah.
Anyway it's Friday now, yay. So it's been a pretty sucky week, probably to do with today being Friday 13th.. 14 15 usually I don't care about that, such as in year five when we went to Kelley Tarlton's to stay the night and everyone was like "ooh don't go near the eels they climb out!!!" and we were next to the eels and it was SO AWESOME. Seriously, it would have been EPIC to be able to sleep under the sharks (DUDE) but we couldn't, anyway I had a lot of fun chatting with this adorable eel.
~*~memories~*~~!!!!! seriously it was so cute especially when it opened its mouth, wow I seem to have extremely vivid memories of that night. I mean, seriously vivid. It's pretty great. ANYWAY.
So yeah, it was suckymoto.
But we were watching Rove and Rhys Darby was on it (whoo!) and that was cool and they said super massive black hole and I went WOAH MUSE hello and it was weird because they weren't talking about Muse but it was definitely from Muse.

Also there was a lulzy fandom secret that was like "I'm in a band, there is some fanfiction about me and another guy, the secret is we don't find it weird, we like it and sometimes act it out"
and it was pretty hilarious, mainly because it just was, and although it was most likely fake I found it amusing that lots of people accused them of being Panic at the Disco. hahahahaha

Also I dreamed about fandom secrets made about Pete Wentz and Joe Trohman. Seriously I don't know. Although Methinks Muse probably did play in that particular Dream. Also I had this weird image of the junior school at my school, only different. For the fandom secrets part. OKAY OKAY sorry for talking about my dreams, that's always a useless thing to do but still. AND IT HAS THAT DUDE ON THE FRONT WHO LOOKS LIKE MIKEY WAY because I kept seeing that picture around and wondering who on earth it was so now I know. YAY!!!! Sorry it was really annoying me. Ahahah.
and so I put all the cds I have on the table and sorted them and stuff and wanted to take a picture but Hamish broke the camera. Noob.
Anyway it's ten o clocku and I want to do guitar and I have to have a shower (I don't know where that worm went by the way) and make my bed, awwwwwww

b) I shall buy 30 Rock season 2
d) I would like to buy super funky headphones
c) I shall buy tickets to concerts (including maybe the killers because that would be great, but NINETY-NINE DOLLARS, PEOPLE)
I'm not MADE of money!!! Although I do have a substantial amount right now. good times
anyway yet again I had a sucky dreamtime, I had various strange dreams ending in there being a huge flood and us trying to get through it by driving straight through super fast, which resulted in charging in to it and hearing a huge BOOM noise and waking up.
Sucky! And this follows up to my dream of a killer dog the other night, where it made me wake up at six and so did this one.
After that I had nice(ish) confusing dreams.

I found all these old cd's, and uploaded them to my computer. And I am going to upload more.

it's kind of weird to post blogs when a person who reads the blog is your friend who already knows this stuff.
So I went to Alice's and we saw, ah yes, Twilight.
Well... it had Supermassive Black Hole and Flightless Bird, American Mouth (mouth? I thought it was south, or north.)
And well I was annoyed that in supermassive blackhole it said "ooh baby don't you know I suffer, but ooh baby I'm a fool for you"
and they cut out PARTS!
That was dismaying
anyway, it was an okay movie. I notice they cleverly avoided the whole "watching her sleep" dealie. I'm ONTO YOU.
Also I wish the girl would have had more emotion in her voice. She really DOES speak in a monotone! Wow.

Obsolete Technology

So anyway ma mere found this old thing of hers, it is a walkman. Basically.
And it is twenty two years old. Now THAT'S vintage. XD it's seriously great. It's got a little pouch thing, and it plays radio, and it plays TAPES. Like cassettes. Whoo! Now if anyone would like to donate a tape to me that would be great. Anyway it's awesome and maybe I will upload a picture but maybe not.
So tomorrow we are going away (ooh fun) to New Plymouth for some reason. I don't actually know, apparently there are pretty lights and apparently we are going to go kayaking and I really DON'T feel like it but it's going to happen anyway. So we are going away for two days which is pretty weird. Oh well. At least we're not going on 4 day treks or climbing mountains. stupid.
Well, I managed to get a video on my ipod and it looks totally cool. Sadly none of my other videos are the right format and I cannot change them, stupidly, so I am planning on buying one from the store, how exciting.!!! Still at least it will be good quality.
Whatever.
We walked to a cafe for breakfast today. It really sucked, lots of hills. I was insanely tired in the morning. Oh and then we went to the cricket club and rode on this totally awesome buggy thing. I was kind of terrified, but then I drove it and it was fun. WOO
basically that's all that's happened in my fascinating life.

Yeah doing more blog layout changes thanks to Alice.
Hmmm I have various different ones, mayhaps I shall post another poll? Not that the results will prove too conclusive considering the results of the last one... yeah, Richard Snorgle Mambo wins with a LANDSLIDE two votes! And coming in close behind, Sophocles Irate Millpool and Gibson Ronald Pigson each with one vote. Well folks, it was a tough battle but in the end Richard one. Too bad no one voted for Ebony-Ivory Sashalee, looks like her name wasn't failsome enough. Well I gotta say, this was a nailbiter! Just waiting for those votes to come in, counting them all... it's been great.

And the new layout has two different possible heading thingies as seen above. Which one should I choose? OOH THE DECISIONS, LIFE IS SO HARD

Whining time!

Awww man, only one person seems to be active here right now! I am sadness. =[
I suddenly have a mild obsession with the song PF by Controller.controller. Too bad that they are no longer a band??
Well. Hmmm.
Every day I become more obsessed with the new ipods. However, the fact that my friend bought one yesterday? And already today, it refused to turn on is not a good omen, not at all. But still. OMGAAAAAH, wow wow wow.
I keep running out of things to saaaaaaaaaaaay
anyway, so well yeah. We had fun in English today messing with the computers in the multimedia room. Hopefully next time someone logs in it will be in reversed colours, and whenever an alert pops up a voice will say "wibble wobble pizza pizza pizza sorry that button sticks" and a lot more about talking to the humans.
We also added a sticky, saying odd things and saying someone's name, which happened to be very long. (It is something we do. Long names. Other people just do not get it. =D)
Christmas is a strange thing is it not?
